Experience
Bruce Bracker, a resident of Tubac in District 3 for the past 31 years and a local businessman from Santa Cruz County has over 31 years of domestic and crossborder professional experience. Bruce has extensive experience in the retail sector, management of non-profit organizations, leading multicultural teams, advocating for critical community issues, and interfacing with congressional leaders and decision-makers in the United States and Mexico. In 2016 he was elected as the Supervisor for the 3rd District in Santa Cruz County, Arizona.

Bruce adheres to his family’s tradition of giving back to the community and has committed much of his personal and professional time to causes that improve the quality of life for the residents of Nogales, Santa Cruz County, and the binational region.

Education
Bruce has held multiple leadership positions in various professional organizations. He is the Past- President of the Downtown Merchants Association, representing the interests of the retail sector in Downtown Nogales AZ. He is also the Past Chairman and current Board member of the Greater Nogales Santa Cruz County Port Authority, an organization dedicated to improving the border crossing experience at Nogales and improving the quality of life for the residents of the Ambos Nogales region. Bruce served on the Board of the Santa Cruz County Workforce Investment Board and is the Co-Founder and Board member of the Arizona Border Counties Coalition. He has also served on the board and was an advisor to the President of the Santa Cruz County Community Foundation, particularly in areas that help expand the Foundation’s capacity fundraise and to train other Non-Profit organizations. He was one of the Founding Board members of the Nogales Community Development Corporation, where he has also served as Past President, He also serves as the President of the Theodore Gebler Trust and the Associated Charities to foster educational opportunities, award scholarships, and support Domestic Violence Shelters in the Community.

Community Contributions
He has been an active member of the Lions Club in Nogales for over 31 years. He is also a graduate of the Nogales Customs and Border Protection Citizens Academy at the invitation of the Nogales Customs and Border Protection Port Director. In February 2020 Bruce was appointed by Secretary Andrew Wheeler to serve on the Local Government Advisory Committee of the Environmental Protection Agency.
