DENNEEN L. PETERSON, JUDGE PRO TEMPORE
Presiding Judge Thomas Fink appointed Denneen Peterson as a full-time judge pro tempore in the Arizona Superior Court of Santa Cruz County beginning April 1, 2018, filling the vacancy left by Hon. Kimberly Corsaro.
Before this appointment, Judge Peterson had been appointed by Judges Roberto C. Montiel, James A. Soto and Thomas Fink to serve as a part time judge pro tempore and court mediator at the Superior Court for more than 20 years. Judge Peterson also served as a part time judge pro tempore in Pima County Courts.
As a judge pro tempore, Judge Peterson presides over almost all types of cases in Santa Cruz County.
Judge Peterson, a native of southern Arizona, is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law and obtained her B.A. from the University of Arizona.
Judge Peterson practiced in personal injury and employment discrimination law for more than 25 years in Tucson, Arizona, practicing in state and federal courts. Judge Peterson litigated hundreds of cases in the trial courts and has appellate experience in the Arizona Courts of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court, an Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Judge Peterson received awards for her pro bono legal service from the Arizona Supreme Court and Southern Arizona Legal Aid.
