Chavez Named New Deputy County Manager
Santa Cruz County, Arizona - Santa Cruz County Manager Jesus Valdez announces Finance Director Mauricio Chavez will be the new Deputy County Manager. This new position will oversee Human Resources and Administrative Services.

Mr. Chavez has worked for the Santa Cruz County government for 10 years, serving as WIOA Director beginning in 2013 until he was promoted to Administrative Services Director in 2016. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
