Election Day

Poll workers needed countywide:

  • Elgin
  • Nogales
  • Patagonia
  • Rio Rico
  • Sonoita
  • Tubac

Upcoming Election Dates:

2024

  • March 19, 2024 - Presidential Preference Election

  • August 6, 2024 - Primary Election

  • November 5, 2024 - General Election

Hours

  • 5:30 a.m. to approximately 8 p.m. on Election Day

Requirements

  • Attend training class prior to Election Day.
  • Attend a Pre-Election Meeting prior to Election Day to prepare the vote center. 

Qualifications

  • Must be registered to vote in Santa Cruz County or be at least 16 years of age and a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

  • Assist voters as necessary.
  • Be a team player, be flexible, and have a positive attitude.
  • Check voter ID.
  • Issue the proper ballots to voters.
  • Know how to properly use the voting unit.
  • Serve all voters promptly and with sensitivity to voters with special needs.

Compensation

  • $150 +
  • $50 for the training class
