Work at the Polls on Election Day

Poll workers needed countywide:
  • Elgin
  • Nogales
  • Patagonia
  • Rio Rico
  • Sonoita
  • Tubac

Upcoming Election Dates

  • Primary Election - Tuesday, August 28, 2018
  • General Election - Tuesday, November 6, 2018

  • 5:30 a.m. to approximately 8 p.m. on Election Day


  • Attend training class prior to Election Day.
  • Attend Pre-Election Meeting prior to Election Day to prepare polling site.


  • Must be registered to vote in Santa Cruz County or be at least 16 years of age and a U.S. citizen


  • Assist voters as necessary.
  • Be a team player, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
  • Check voter ID.
  • Issue the proper ballots to voters.
  • Know how to properly use the voting unit.
  • Serve all voters promptly and with sensitivity to voters with special needs.

  • $20 for training class
